Retreat Centre 2

The Friars worked hard to clear the site and develop the grounds, which now consist of the following.
Calvary on the mountain top – reached by walking through woodland, known as the Way of the Cross, along which pilgrims can pray the Stations of the Cross. Each Station is illustrated with a mosaic housed in a small brick chapel. The chapels were erected in 1875.
Our Lady’s Grotto, - reached by walking through woodland, known as The Rosary Way where pilgrims can pray the Rosary. Each Mystery is marked alongside the wayside.
1990 The Retreat Centre was opened in part of the former Novitiate building.
1999 Completion of The National Shrine to St. Pio
